More Trains to Lhasa to Meet Summer Demand

Summer is one of the best seasons to visit Tibet. To meet the hot summer demand, a new train will start operating between Xining and Lhasa every day. Train K9811 departs from Xining at 22:40, stops over in Golmud at 08:05 the next morning, and arrives Lhasa at 21:05. Train K9812 departs from Lhasa at 16:35, stops over in Golmud at 07:06 the next morning, and arrives Xining at 16:25.

Currently, Trains to Lhasa are available from the following cities: Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Lanzhou, Xining, Chengdu and Chongqing. Note that trains operate every other day from some cities.
