Opening Hours: The Expo site opens for 15 hours from 9:00 till 24:00 each day during the Expo session (May 1 – October 31). Pavilions open each day for 13 hours from 09:30 to 22:30. The reason why pavilions open half an hour later than the park is that there are opening ceremonies or culturalperformances at the Expo site from 9:00 to 9:30 every day.
Admission into the Expo site will be denied after 21:00, while admission into pavilions will be denied after 22:00.
Evening Admission Ticket: After 17:00 on standard days (May 4 – September 30, October 8 – 24,2010), visitors can buy evening admission tickets to visit the Expo site. Evening admission tickets can only be bought on entry. It is very easy to get an evening admission ticket with the cost of 100 yuan.
There are totally 13 entrance of the expo site (5 entrances are water gates located on the bank of Huangpu River).
Know the popularity of the expo site

We suggest you enter from the expo site entrances that are not so popular so that you may save your waiting time on a queue and you might have a chance to get a reservation ticket for China Pavilion, which will usually be given out within 10 to 20 minutes after the opening of the expo site every day.
For safety considerations, visitors are NOT allowed to bring water or cigarette lighters into the Expo site. Inside the Expo site, there is free and clean drinkable water provided to visitors, and drinks are sold at normal prices without mark-up. Safety inspection is required before entering the expo site. The checking procedure is very quick, and it takes only half a minute for a visitor to come through a safety inspection.
An expo site map and an expo event schedule will be given to you by expo volunteers on entry. The map tells you all you want to know about the expo site, including the locations of expo pavilions, bus stops, ferry docks, dining rooms, toilets and souvenir stores.
